Light Tent Floral Shoot

I used some flowers we had lying around the house to practice my floral light tent technique. I recently bought a 5 metre USB cable so used this as an opportunity to shoot in tethered mode for the first time, with the camera hooked up straight to the computer.

It was a great help to take a picture and to see the image on-screen a second later. It enabled me to fine-tune the composition and focusing with ease, so I’ll be using this method for all my future indoor product photography.

Although I quite like studio/product photography, I much prefer being outdoors and taking photographs of flowers against a natural background - but with the stormy weather recently, this is the next best thing.
